USSD is a powerful and unique feature in GSM networks. It’s a dynamic capability built into GSM networks allowing transmitting alphanumeric information over signaling channels. USSD allows faster transmission than typical SMS channels. It uses the HLR to enable USSD services for any mobile subscriber connected to the home network or roaming around the world.
USSD is by far the best option for services requiring interaction between users and applications. Ideal examples would be mobile entertainment, mobile e-commerce, mobile news, etc. ideal also for mobile recharge (top-up) and for checking a customer’s prepaid balance or activation of different mobile services.
Our USSD platform allows reports and statistics thru a user-friendly web UI. These reports feature KPIs of the USSD platform and also show data on USSD requests made by all subscribers. However individual reports for each subscriber (MSISDN) are also fully available.
