Session Border Controller
Our Session Border Controller (SBC) secures signaling & control flows crossing the edges of the IMS/SIP network. Our SBC operates at the edge of the access networks securing all types of IP accesses. It sits at the edge of the peering networks to support IMS/SIP interconnection and also roaming.

Hacom provides a carrier grade Session Border Controller (SBC) which is a network element mainly deployed to protect SIP based VoIP networks.
Our SBC main role is to secure the voice network. Engineered to help eliminate spoofing attacks, denial-of-service attacks and toll fraud. Our SBC secures the voice network by hiding the architecture, making it difficult for attackers to gain access to potentially vulnerable parts of the network. It provides encryption that protects communications from being illegally tampered with or possibly intercepted.
Some relevant features of the Session Border Controller entity:
- Protects against Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed DoS (DDoS) attacks
- Safeguard against toll fraud and service theft
- Normalize SIP signaling stream headers to mitigate multivendor incompatibilities
- Enable interworking between diverse protocols (i.e. SIP to H323)
- Enable interworking between diverse codecs (i.e. g711 to g729)
- Enforce Quality of Sevice (QoS)
- Route sessions across network interfaces allowing high availability
Our world class products and customer support services ensure the platforms will always be available, functional and up to date.
